Everything you need to know.

before, during and after your install

From first quote to warm floors and lower bills, we’re here to keep it simple. Below you’ll find clear answers to common questions about heat pumps, underfloor heating, liquid screed, and how we work.

Step 1. Getting a Quote

How do I get a quote?

Just fill in our quick online form. We’ll ask you a few details about your property and what you’re planning—then one of our team will be in touch with tailored recommendations and next steps.

How long does it take to get a quote?

We aim to get back to you within a couple of working days. If your project is urgent or you’re working to tight deadlines, just let us know and we’ll do our best to move faster.

Do I need to have planning permission or architectural drawings first?

Not always. If it’s a new build or larger development, drawings definitely help—but for extensions, renovations or straightforward installs, we can often advise without them.

Is the quote free?

Yes—completely free and with no obligation. We’ll give you honest advice and clear costs so you can make the right decision for your home.

Do you have to visit the property to be able to quote?

Not always. For straightforward projects or new builds with drawings, we can often provide an initial quote remotely. For more complex installs—or if you’re not sure what’s needed—a site visit helps us give you the most accurate advice and pricing. Either way, we’ll always work around what suits you best.

Do you provide client testimonials?

We do—and we’re always happy to share them. We can also put you in touch with some of our recent customers, so you can hear directly from people who’ve worked with us and ask them what the process was really like.

Step 2. Choosing the Right System

What’s the difference between air source and ground source heat pumps?

Air source heat pumps extract heat from the air outside your home, while ground source heat pumps take heat from the ground. Both are energy-efficient and cost-saving, but the best choice depends on your space, budget, and heating needs.

Can underfloor heating be used in just one room?

Yes—while it’s especially popular in whole-house systems and new builds, we can install underfloor heating in single rooms like kitchens, bathrooms or extensions.

Why use liquid screed with underfloor heating?

Liquid screed gives better heat transfer than traditional screed, helps your underfloor heating perform more efficiently, and sets faster. Plus, we handle both the heating and the screed—so there’s no need to coordinate multiple trades.

Can you work with my existing boiler?

?

Step 3. Installation Process

How long does installation take?

This depends on the size and complexity of your project. A typical air source heat pump can take 2–4 days. Underfloor heating and screed usually takes 1–2 days, plus drying time. We’ll give you a clear timeline upfront.

Will there be lots of disruption?

Not with us. Our team works cleanly and efficiently. We protect your space, manage mess, and keep noise and disruption to a minimum.

Who does the installation?

Everything is handled by our in-house team—no subcontractors, no pass-the-parcel. That means better communication, tighter coordination, and a tidier job.

Do I need to arrange anything before the install?

We’ll let you know exactly what’s needed. For most domestic projects, we handle everything—from materials to scheduling and grant paperwork.

Step 4. Savings & Grants

How much could I save on my energy bills?

Savings vary depending on your property, insulation and system design, but many customers see lower running costs when switching to a heat pump and efficient heating system. We’ll model your potential savings as part of your personalised quote.

Can I get help with the cost?

Yes. The Boiler Upgrade Scheme offers a £7,500 grant towards eligible heat pump installations.

Is VAT included?

Eligible heat pump installations benefit from zero-rated VAT, helping to bring down overall costs even further.

Do grants apply to screed or underfloor heating?

Not directly—but underfloor heating and screed systems maximise the performance and efficiency of your heat pump, so they often form part of the overall grant-supported package.

Step 5. Aftercare

What happens after the install?

We’ll talk you through how everything works, test your system thoroughly, and leave you with all the info you need. We’re also on hand if you have any follow-up questions.

Do you offer servicing or maintenance?

?

What if I have a problem?

You can always get in touch. We’re a local, responsive team who take pride in our work—and we don’t disappear once the job’s done.

Do I get a guarantee?

Yes. All our systems come with manufacturer warranties, and our installation work is guaranteed. We’ll make sure you’re covered—and we’ll always be upfront about the details.
